Title: 1st Ever Elvis Video August 7th 1955 Live Performance
Label: Monty Robertson Enterprises Inc.
Date: August 7, 1955
Review: "A Blast From the Past". Sounds familiar? Well, this is definitely a "Blast" in fact it was a gigantic explosion. Thanks to Mrs. Lois Robertson we now have available on video the earliest known filmed performance of Elvis. Without going into great detail all I will say is take a trip back in time to Sheldon, Texas, August 7th, 1955. Here we find Elvis, Scotty & Bill performing on a wooden clapboard stage to a group of no more than 30 or so folks, who are enjoying the music, the sun and swimming in the near by river. Back then it was just another summer day but now it was one of the most important chapters in the history of Elvis.
This rare footage speaks for itself and although there is no vocal sound on the actual performance instrumentation has been skillfully over dubbed and rather than detracting from the performance it enhances it.
In conclusion I will say "Thank you Mrs. Robertson Elvis fans will remember you forever"
