Package: The package was one the biggest attractions to us when getting this CD. We were not upset in any way.

Elvis: As in case with many opening nights, he is pretty nervous here, as if asking: "Will the audience like my new concert program?" The answer is "Yes", of course.

Highlights: A very slow but emotional You Gave Me A Mountain, a fantastic and very inspired Bridge Over Troubled Water and a great An American Trilogy could be mentioned as the biggest highlights.

Review: This concert has been previously released on Opening Night (72) CD. For the contents please see the review of the mentioned concert.

The producers have done a nice job producing the package as a whole. This CD will be a good chance to get the opening night from January 1972 for those who have originally missed it. But the sound improvement is so little that it doesn’t even deserve to be mentioned. The bootleg business is running out of material – as FTD is unfortunately – so we guess we will keep on getting previously released material in the years to come. It’s good for those who couldn’t get it earlier and bad for those who are in the game for a longer time.

Those who have the original can easily skip this CD.
